/rant. Life Transfer.
Am I the only one here who thinks this deserves some sort of nerf? Just about every necro I have seen in CA today has used to me or a teammate. I think LT is just way too powerful with the degeneration, and even if I try to remove it i'm already taken down a good amount of health. I see it's pretty common to chain this with Life Siphon so I get pounded down by a great amount of health degeneration. You can tell that it obviously takes no skill nowadays to be a complete degen necro or mes as it only takes those 2 skills to really accomplish it. I can say this is one of the most overused skills in the game. All it takes to really degen is just a LT and siphon. And if that hectic degen wasn't bad enough, the foe gets a very hefty amount of health regeneration to counter. So even if you want to furiously get back at the necro that just sapped you, he has a very nice health regen that you can't even fathom to get by. </rant>.

It's not too powerful. Ok in team arenas, but it's rare you will find it anywhere else, because of it's horrible cooldown period. It gets removed, and your marvellous seven degen is gone. Plus, it can't be spammed like Life Siphon, so you'll find it very hard to keep it on anyone outside 4v4. CoP/Veil is becoming more and more prolific, and I highly doubt that Life Transfer is overpowered. In fact, I'd drop it's cooldown do people might start to use it in 8v8.

Hex removal
Interupption
Life regeneration
tons of possibilities... if you're playing a ranger like your profile says, bring troll unguent?.... at least a lvl 10 casting of it and that's 8 regen... it's a pretty crappy skill imo, never been killed by a LT/LS nec while running a serious build.

9+3=10 [+2]
there's still those other 2 points of degen.
So, someone with life transfer & life siphon on them, say they put healing breeze on themselves for +9 regen.... they will have 3 degen, still. seee?...
Also, if the caster of LS & LT Is taking heavy degen, his will be negated by all of these regen points he has.

Well, you're about the first person I've ever seen or heard to cry nerf on Life Transfer. However, I do see your concern since degen cuts though any armor. But I really don't think it deserves a nerf just based on that. You'll get the same effect by just combining any other skills/hexes that causes degen.

By that logic, Healing Breeze must be overpowered too...

Because most necros dont have enough blood (Max blood) for it to reach 9, so LT in random is 90% always 8 degen, thats why.

Nerf it as they did to mesmer energy denials: Make it degen half as much and give you 2 pips of life regen for every 1 pip of life degen it puts on your opponent.

The best way to cope with the overpoweredness of Life Transfer is to learn to play and stop being a CA scrub.

Edit: It's all been said and done before, and even if not, the effects of Life Transfer are not really far reaching enough to be a community issue.
Game Suggestions go in Sardelac, and skill discussions are already underway in Arcane Repository, so I'm just going to lock this one.

I prefer life siphon. Spamming life siphon on the 4 enemies in random arena > 1 life transfer that can easily be removed.

Sooooo lemme get this straight. You want anet to change reduce the potency of life transfer so that either a) your own healing aka troll unguent will equally counter it..... or b) your troll unguent will overpower LT so you won't lose health...... If I were a roadside check, I'd make you do the walk-the-line test because you have some serious balance issues
